While residents enjoy the benefits of a small community, the beautiful open spaces, and our unique dining and shopping options, the malls and superstores are an easy fifteen to thirty minute drive away in Muncie and Richmond.  The high-end department stores of Indianapolis and Dayton are only about one hour away. 

Interestingly, Union City is cut in half by the Indiana-Ohio border.  Winchester is the county seat and is situated in the center of the county.  While U.S. 36 has become a favorite for cross-country cyclists, U.S. 27 is a delightful route steeped in history and scenic beauty for those traveling north and south through the United States.  Amish Country, Native American history, and the Underground Railroad are just a few of the things that will make your journey as exciting as your destination.
